Collection: Softcore Font

Softcore is a warm, contemporary serif typeface rooted in 18th century German-Dutch typography. Its construction is inspired by J.M. Fleischmann’s work. It has a strong core with a soft character, a sensation of ink spreading on paper. Despite historical roots, its shapes have been reinvented for the digital realm. Its soft, rounded strokes are an effect of sketches made with a modern tool, a rounded, felt tip marker. The shapes were digitised with precise outlines that thrive in display sizes and optimised for smaller and longer texts, where it keeps legibility and a balanced texture. The family consists of a whole range of weights, from Thin to Black, with corresponding Italics, available in static and variable formats.
